Thanks to Wikia's innovative MediaWiki developers, videos can now be embedded into articles in a similar fimiliar to images. Tesfanon recongnizes that machinima is a major aspects of Elder Scrolls fan culture, and has therefore allowed the use of videos for cultural references and popular machinima pieces such as Chuck Norris in Oblivion. Videos also provide a way to display mods for games and provides an outlet for fanoneers to display fanworks in a visual fashion.
However, Tesfanon has also recognizes the potential for videos to be misused and abuse. As a result, a video policy has been made.

[edit] Sourcing images
As in the Image policy, any and all videos uploaded onto this wiki must be sourced. Any unsourced videos will be deleted.
[edit] Information Template
The Information template originally ccreated for the sourcing of videos is also required to be on videos. Failure to properly use this template will result in the deletion of the video. Due to this, we felt it was important to tell you more about it.
Although the template only has seven fields, you are required to fill only three to four specific parts. The first one is the video's source (this was described above). The second one is the image's copyright license (which is described below. The third is the video's author. If you don't know, you may leave it black. The fourth is any modification you made to the image (this should be filled out in the "filespecs" field. This does not include cropping or brightening. However, it does include the an images you inserted into the image, any color changes, etc.

Like images, all videos must have a a copyright tag. Any and all images without one will be deleted.
- Creative Commons:
- {{Cc-by}} – This would license the video under the Creative Commons "BY" license, meaning Free Use, but the video requires proper attribution if it is to be shared.
- {{Cc-by-sa}} – This would license the video under the Creative Commons "BY-SA" license, meaning Free Use, but the image requires proper attribution and similar versions of the video must be shared if it is to be shared.
- Fair Use:
- {{Fairuse}} – This would license the video under fair use provisions. Copyrights must be respected; if the video is asked to be taken down, it must be; the image cannot be used for profit; proper source and attribution must be given; etc.
- {{Esimage}} – This template is for any fair use video from a game or website copyrighted or owned by Bethesda Softworks. This would include any image from the The Elder Scrolls series of video games. This would license the image under fair use provisions, as long as copyrights of the image aren't infringed.
- {{PermissionAndFairUse}} – This would license the video under fair use provisions, as long as copyrights of the image aren't infringed, the different being that the image owner has actually given explicit permission for the image to be used, usually with conditions.
- {{Promotional}} – This would license the video under fair use provisions, as long as copyrights of the video aren't infringed, the different being that the image is from a promotional piece of work, such as commercials, trailers, and teasers.
- {{Screenshot}} – This would license the video under fair use provisions, as long as copyrights of the video aren't infringed, the different being that the image is a screenshot taken directly from a film or video game.
- {{Usercopyright}} – This would license the video under fair use provisions, which are owned by the user who uploaded the image. All copyrights of the video must be exclusive to the owner if they are to use this template.
- {{Fairuse}} – This would license the video under fair use provisions. Copyrights must be respected; if the video is asked to be taken down, it must be; the image cannot be used for profit; proper source and attribution must be given; etc.
- Public domain / Free use:
- {{GFDL}} – This would license the video under the GNU Free Documentation License, meaning the video has been released to Wikia's use and is subject to its disclaimers, but no variants may be created from this image and proper attribution should be given.
- {{PD}} – This would license the video into the Public Domain with no conditions for Free Use. Only Free Use videos should be licensed under such license. (Note: Just because an video is on the internet does not mean it is in the public domain.)
- {{PD-USGov-NASA}} – This would license the video under the Public Domain United States Government/NASA license, meaning the video has already been released by the government or NASA into the public domain and is therefore free to use.
- {{PD-self}} – This would release the video into the Public Domain with no conditions for Free Use by the user uploading it, only if he created the video. No conditions are set.

Unless you hold the copyright, none of the videos you upload belong to you. As a result, many of the videos you upload can be used by others. However, we still respect your creativity and the hard work you placed in creating your videos. Therefore, special rules were made to determine who could use certain images.
You may use a video another person uploaded if:
- You have permission from the uploader.
- If the video is a film sniplet from a source that was not created by the uploader.
You may not use a video if:
- The video is modified (not including cropped, resized, brightened, or darkened videos) by the uploader.
- The video was taken by the uploader's camara (film sniplets from games and films do not count).
