The Lilmothian Noble Cavalry was elite in society as well as war, and fought bravely to justify their status. This often led them to be headstrong, and difficult to restrain before a fight, as personal glory gained in battle was the only true measure of nobility. Their war gear of spears, shields, and good chainmail was the very finest that could be provided.
They were best used to break weakened enemy formations, fight against other cavalry, and pursue fleeing enemies. While they were brave men and superb equestrians, they lacked the cohesion of more civilized cavalry, and were often not as effective in a hand-to-hand fight. Shock and initial impact were their main weapons.
