— Lucius, after killing a large group of enemies with ease, in The Man Missing from Time (Chapter Two).
|
Lucius Morningblaze (Birth name unknown) is an amnesic mage, and the Last Dragonborn, living in Skyrim in the year 4E 201. He is the main protagonist of The Man Missing From Time.
Background[]
Early Life[]
No-one knows much of Lucius' past, including himself. He merely just woke up in a cart to Helgen, scheduled for execution, on the 17th of Last Seed, 4E 201. The only things he could remember were that he was bisexual, and that he was a mage. He quickly fashioned a name for himself, and was taken to Helgen.
Later Life[]
The Man Missing from Time[]
As Lucius was about to be executed, the dragon Alduin attacked Helgen. This saved Lucius, who then escaped with Hadvar, in the events of the first two chapters of The Man Missing from Time'. He and Hadvar headed to Riverwood, where Alvor tasks Lucius with getting word to Jarl Balgruuf the Greater that Alduin was on the loose. Whilst in Riverwood, Lucius meets and hires the mercenary Tauriel.
The next morning, on the 18th of Last Seed, 4E 201, Lucius and Tauriel arrive at Dragonsreach, and inform Balgruuf, who agrees to send a detachment of guards to Riverwood. Farengar Secret-Fire then orders Lucius and Tauriel to retrieve the Dragonstone of Bleak Falls Barrow.
While in Bleak Falls Barrow, Lucius, unbeknown to himself, learns the first word of Unrelenting Force from a word wall. He and Tauriel then return the Dragonstone to Farengar, and learn of a dragon attacking Whiterun's western watchtower. Balgruuf asks the two of them to aid in killing the dragon reasoning that, after Helgen, Lucius has the most experience with dragons. Lucius agrees, and kills the dragon by climbing onto it's back, riding it five-hundred feet into the air, then stabbing it to death with Poena, his dagger, then casting a feather-falling spell on himself.
After killing the dragon, Lucius learns that he is Dragonborn. Jarl Balgruuf appoints him Thane of Whiterun, assigns him Lydia as a housecarl, gives him Breezehome, and advises Lucius to go to High Hrothgar, and speak with the Greybeards. That night, Lucius drunkenly has sexual intercourse with Tauriel, and, the next day, he, Lydia and Tauriel travel to High Hrothgar.
After teaching him two new shouts, the Greybeards task him with retrieving The Horn of Jurgen Windcaller from the ruin Ustengrav. When he arrives at Ustengrav, however, the horn is gone, and, in its place, a note, telling him to book the attic room at the sleeping giant inn.
When he attempts to book the attic room, he finds out that Delphine took the horn, which he sends by courier back to the Greybeards. He then accompanies Delphine, who he deduces is a member of The Blades, to kill the dragon Sahloknir, to prove that he is really Dragonborn.
